Dr. Cameron Myhrvold, Assistant Professor of Molecular Biology at Princeton University, was named the recipient of the 2026 Young Investigator Award at the Theobald Smith Society Spring Symposium.
Dr. Myhrvold’s research focuses on developing innovative CRISPR-based technologies for studying RNA biology, with a particular emphasis on detecting and combating RNA viruses. His work bridges molecular biology, bioengineering, and infectious disease research, advancing next-generation diagnostic and therapeutic tools with broad implications for global health. A recognized emerging leader in the field, Dr. Myhrvold previously received the 2025 Northeast Bioengineering Conference Emerging Investigator Award and has been recognized for pioneering work in CRISPR-Cas13 technologies and rapid genetic detection systems.
He will present his research at the upcoming Theobald Smith Society Fall Symposium.

I enjoyed reading about Dr Cameron Myhrvold receiving the 2026 Young Investigator Award and how the post celebrated the importance of scientific research and achievement. During a demanding semester, I used health care assignment help while keeping up with my coursework, and the post reminded me of attending a school science fair where seeing others' projects inspired me to work harder. Moments like these show how recognising dedication can motivate future learning and discovery.
