The Theobald Smith Society is led by a dynamic team of microbiologists dedicated to advancing research, education, and collaboration across New Jersey’s scientific community. President Sam Yadavalli (Waksman Institute, Rutgers University), Vice President Jason Yang (Rutgers New Jersey Medical School), Treasurer Valerie Carabetta (Cooper Medical School of Rowan University), along with Jeff Boyd (Rutgers School of Environmental & Biological Science) and Secretary Raymond Sullivan, bring together a wealth of experience across microbial systems biology, pathogenesis, environmental microbiology, and scientific outreach.
