The American Society for Microbiology temporarily removed or altered content on its website related to diversity, equity, and inclusion programs after a Trump administration order but later acknowledged this was a mistake and apologized. However, it is still considering whether to change committee names that mention DEI terms. ASM clarified its position with a 14 February press release.
